The 4th annual JK5K was a massive success once again this year. Its accomplishments could be measured in the fact that 380 people registered to race, and well over 400 attended. It could also be measured in the fact that 40 volunteers once again shared their precious time to pull this event together. I believe the success, however, can be more appropriately measured in the immense outpouring of love that exudes from this day in honor of a boy that will forever be 12. Jakes friends, teachers, teammates, and perfect strangers come in support of the Karnchanaphati family in their mission to keep Jake’s memory alive through a foundation that gives back to this amazing community. It fills my heart to be able to be a part of this day each year and to be able to captured this outpouring of love from my community.
