To say this ceremony is personal to me is a definite understatement. I have known Rachel for my whole entire life. She is my cousin and her Mom is more like a sister or mother to me than an Aunt. Her Dad I met when I was barely 10 so I hardly remember a family memory without either of them. Rachel has been my baby cousin, then my kids’ babysitter, and now my grown-up married friend. This wasn’t the big wedding she originally planned, but I’ll tell you something, it was the sweetest, most special wedding I have ever witnessed and in the end, Rachel and Gabe became husband and wife, the got to profess promises to one another in front of their parents and siblings, and of course God….and soon enough they will have that grand wedding and celebrate with the rest of the people they love most.
