I came across this photo from a wedding this past summer, and I can’t help but be drawn to something in this photo….Me….smiling.  That is pure joy right there…me looking through my lens at something beautiful. Its not about the perfectly styled outfit or the perfect scenery or the perfect prop for that matter (although don’t get me wrong I love those things too)….it is almost always about the moments that I witness through my lens that create that reaction.  This past year has been a crazy ride both personally and professionally (I think that is standard for the years now lol)…but above all else this journey down Silver Orchid Photography’s path has given me so much fulfillment, so much joy.  That is why I do what I do.  I am able to share this love I have for what I do with the people I am photographing, and I am so thankful for that.  As 2015 winds down (but business ramps up) I am going to try to remember the smiles behind the camera more often than the harried crazy person I can tend to become this time of year.  And to those who entrust in me…just know that capturing these moments for you is my joy, honor and pleasure!
