I have started asking my couples the question “what are you most looking forward to about your wedding day?” The answer gives me insight into what the focus of the day is for them. I want to be able to tailor what I am doing for them based on this little nugget of information. Sandy and Jon answered “Saying I do! capturing unforgettable pictures, dancing to good music and being with everyone we love.” I mean, their answer certainly made my job easy….photos were important to them … check, got that one… easy. “Dancing to good music … and being with everyone we love” tells me that I am not pulling them away from a great song or time with their friends and family. You’d be surprised how many people hire me and photography isn’t something they want to have the day focused on….and guess what, I make mental note of that too, so the day looks different for those couples.
Sandy and Jon’s day at Myers Farm went off without a hitch…well except for the torrential downpour that thankfully held off until the very end of the night. Aside from the rain, the day was pretty perfect…Lots of love, lots of laughs, a chicken nugget toast…an epic Day One in the books for Mr & Mrs Ezzo.
