Something happened this past year multiple times that I have never experienced so many times before. The bride was ready to get into her dress and her mom, or other key attendants (like her sister or her maid of honor), were still in the hair or makeup chair. In a few cases this was truly disappointing to the brides’ mom because she couldn’t be a part of such a special moment. The day goes so fast and it is an honest mistake but it is definitely avoidable!
So I figured I’d write this little reminder that when you are planning your hair and makeup you should be mindful about the times that your mom and key attendants are being booked.
Of course everyone in your bridal party is important to you, but only a few are going to help you get ready. Make sure those people have their hair and makeup appointments scheduled as close to yours as possible!
I have no doubt that the hair and makeup team are doing the best they can, but they might also not be aware of who should be ready along with you. Talk to your photographer and your hair and makeup team and find out what will work best!
