Silver Orchid Studios TEAM!

I am excited to announce that Silver Orchid Photography is going from a one man band (hahah me wearing ALL the hats) to an official TEAM!

For the past 2 years I have slowly been bringing on 2nd photographers, associate photographers and various other contract employees that help make Silver Orchid run.  I have grown SO to the point now where I can’t feasibly do it all on my own and still offer the quality of work and service that is the heart of my business.

Photographer’s Assistant!

I am happy to announce that the intern that has been quietly and freaking kicking assingly (I made that up) been working with me since December is transitioning into a new role of photographer’s assistant.

Andrea (pronounced Ahn-dray-ah) just finished up her bachelors degree from The University of the Arts and she has so much to offer I can’t even quantify it.  You will be seeing and hearing much more from Andrea as time goes on!  She is going to help make me sane again

 

Interns!

Derrick (why do you have not one photo I could steal from social media:)  has been assisting weddings and portrait sessions since September.  A lot of you have already met him…Im hoping he becomes a more solid fixture here because his technical shooting is pretty bad ass.  He’s super techy and has already put his stamp on a lot of processes that are now making my life behind the scenes so much better.

 

Jenna will be interning this year and will be getting herself immersed in both shooting and the business aspect of photography.  She is rock star at making baby’s giggle and will also be assisting weddings this year.

 

Studio Updates

I am always working to find new ways to make my client experience new and fresh!  I never ever want you to feel that you are just bringing your family for the same session, just a different month or year!    The common theme that I am finding is that I know I have stretched myself pretty thin.  This is why I enlist other small business owners to lend their talents so that I can focus my efforts elsewhere.  Carrie  is a talented designer who will be lending her skills to help boost my vision for sessions to a new place!  Stay tuned for all the goodness.
