This past fall, high school seniors all across the country began their final year of high school. It’s a school year that has started in a way that most of them never would have imagined. Some only being able to physically attend school two days, others stuck behind a screen all five days. Sports, proms, clubs, activities and everything that makes school fun has been postponed, cancelled or just looks completely different than ever before. They have faced plenty of adversity, changes and disruption in their world that even most adults have not had to endure. BUT despite all of that, the one thing I am still seeing during my time together with them is smiles, and hope, and grace, and resilience, and ALL the things that is so great about this time in their life. They are still making the absolute best it!
Over the past few months I’ve had the opportunity to spend time with so many wonderful seniors documenting this monumental time in their lives, and let me tell you, despite the differences of their Senior year….its still worth celebrating and they are all going to make their mark on this world and I can’t wait to see in unfold. You’ll see my own Senior in this mix…I couldn’t be more proud!
Over the next few months, I will be featuring these seniors here on the blog and on instagram (#SOPSENIORS), and I invite you all to leave them some words of encouragement in the comments to help them finish out the year strong!
